Leading Republicans Support House Plan for Climate Change
EXCITING NEWS ! Republican George P. Shultz, secretary of state under President Reagan and secretary of the treasury under President Nixon, (and the GOP Climate Leadership Council) appear to support the leading House plan for climate change, H.R.-763, the Carbon Dividend Act.
In a Washington Post Op-Ed Mr. Shultz wrote: "The winning Republican climate answer is ... carbon pricing. Just as a market-based solution is the Republican policy of choice on most issues, so should it be on climate change. A well-designed carbon fee checks every box of conservative policy orthodoxy."
OK, perhaps now we'll be able to worry a bit less about plans by the Administration, EPA, DoE, et al to ca$h out of the climate and let our grandchildren be darned. Maybe the House & Senate can get to work cooperating to fix this climate beast!
